The medical term brain dead means that the brain is no longer functioning and that it can no longer work. It can no longer tell the lungs to inhale and exhale and the heart to send blood through the body. So if a doctor uses the term brain dead, they will no longer live and will have to be buried. There is something bad about being brain dead, the doctor can classify someone brain dead even if their heart is still beating and and they are still breathing. The doctors can even go to court and fight that the person is brain dead if the parent’s or guardians don’t believe that the person is dead because their heart is beating and they are breathing. Even though the classification brain dead may mean that the brain is not functioning, that does not mean that the body is completely dead and has to be buried.
