Is Texting Ruining English

In a way txting is ruining our English Language, some people are txting so mch that it is starting to effect their writing and spelling.  Like in essays people are putting u instead of you and 2day instead of today and so many ppl are using the txting lingo that they are putting it in their writing and not even noticing and they are getting bad grades for it. So the English language is being ruined by this txting age and u all know some1 who uses this lingo all the time. It is stupid because u will get a txt and it will have 2day, lol, and things like that and I will be like IDK what that means, and then they will reply btw it means today and laugh out loud. Then they will say brb can u just talk right. And in school they will put for answers IDK, or on the test they will write a narrative and use things like u brb ttyl 2day. What happened to the world and y can’t u just typ the right way?

The Class of 2017

The class of 2017 are freshman at Hugo, Colorado. They are proud and sometimes they don’t get along but some day they will make up and become friends again. There are 6 of us left that grew up with each other and we have our ups and downs but we all know what each other has been through. Being Freshmen, it is kinda sad to know in 3 years that the 6 of us will split up and go our own separate ways and maybe won’t see each other untill our 10 or 20 year reunion. The 6 of us have gone through so much together, like losing family, saying goodbye to our best friends, or all kinds of other things. I will be sad to say goodbye to the best bunch of teens I will or would ever meet, because when I get out to the real world no one will ever know what I have been through like those 5. I will miss you guys when we leave this little town we call home. Even though we say we hate this school sometimes, it will always be apart of us.

Being A Boy Scout

Boy Scout

To me, being a Boy Scout means a lot, it means I have to do my best to live by the Scout Law and the Scout Oath. The Scout Law is, “A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.” Then the Scout Oath is “On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”  Now that I am an Eagle Scout I really have to do my best to live by these codes of the Boy Scouts. Everyday I try to live by the Motto and Slogan. The Scout Motto is Be Prepared and the Slogan is Do a Good Turn Daily. These two, in my mind, are very important to scouting because every Scout can do these two things everyday.

The Scout Law to Me

The Scout Law is a series of words that every scout tries to live by everyday.

A Scout is:

Trustworthy: To me this means no matter what a Scout can trust me with anything and everything.

Loyal: This means that a Scout will be loyal to his friends and his family.

Helpful: A Scout is helpful when ever and however he can.

Friendly: A Scout is friendly to everyone without judging them first.

Courteous: A Scout is polite to everyone no matter what.

Kind: A Scout is nice to everyone he meets

Obedient: A Scout obeys the law of anywhere he goes.

Cheerful: A Scout is always in a good mood.

Thrifty: A Scout is Smart with his money.

Brave: A Scout always stands up for what he think is right even though it may not what everyone is doing.

Clean: A Scout always has a clean mind and body.

and Reverent: A scout is excepting of all races and religions.

A Scout may not be able to follow these laws all the time, but can do his best to do them everyday.

The Scout Oath

The Scout Oath is like the Scout Law but has its own standards. It is like the Scout Law because it is also what Scouts strive to do everyday or to the best of their abilities. I am just going to break down the Scout Oath so it is easier to understand.

“On my honor”: A Scout is promising

“I will do my best”: To do everything they can

“To do my duty to God and my country”: To do what he thinks is right for God and his country

“and to obey the Scout Law;”: To try to follow all the points of the Scout Law

“To help other people at all times;”: To help other people when ever he can

To keep myself physically strong,” : To stay physically healthy

“mentally awake, and morally straight.”: To stay mentally healthy and stay on the path that he knows is right

My Morning Routine

Have you ever wondered who actually has a morning routine? Well I do and I am going to tell you what my morning routine is. The very first thing I do is get up and look at Facebook. The next thing I do is go take a bath (I take a bath because showers scare me). After my bath I put my contacts in, brush my teeth and put acne cream on. The fourth thing I do is get dressed and sometimes it takes a little while for me to pick an outfit. The fifth thing I do is go blow dry my hair and then put make up on. Then what I do is straighten my hair, which really doesn’t take me that long at all because my hair isn’t layered.  Finally what I do is get all my school stuff together, and off I go. Depending on if is winter or not depends on if I start my car early or not. This is my morning .routine. Comment below and tell me your morning routine.

My Life When Daisy Was A Puppy!

I got my dog Daisy when she was about 4-5 weeks old. She was one of those puppies that got up in the middle of the night and I had to let her out. She loved to chew shoes, walls, and especially toilet paper. Daisy loved to chase the mop and the vacuum. I begged and begged the lady who had Daisy to give her to me a day early. The moment I saw Daisy she was everything to me because at this point I had a lot going on in my life. At first I let Daisy sleep in my bed the first two nights. After that night I made her sleep in a carrier. She at first whined because she was in the carrier but then she fell asleep. She, to me, was exactly like a baby. As she got old she got better about the chewing and whining. Daisy so far has chewed shoes, walls, glasses, toilet paper, stuffed animals, money, and corn on the cob. Daisy now sleeps in my bedroom on my bed and she doesn’t have a carrier to sleep in. She is the only dog that my family has that doesn’t sleep in a carrier. Daisy is pretty spoiled because of me.  She loves milk and her back scratched. She can drink out of a baby bottle. You know when you tell a kid 1,2,3 jump and they do? Well Daisy does that too. I love her MORE than anything in the world and I would do anything for her.
